REMEMBRANCE CEREMONY AND WREATH LAYING DECEMBER 14, 2019
Each December on National Wreaths Across America Day, our mission to Remember, Honor and Teach is carried out by coordinating wreath-laying ceremonies at Arlington National Cemetery, as well as at more than 1,800 additional locations in all 50 United States, at sea and abroad.
From the Revolutionary War to present day conflicts, our veterans are devoted sons and daughters, fathers and mothers, sisters and brothers. They come from all backgrounds in life to place those lives on the line for our freedoms. There are millions of individual stories to tell. Everyone Plays a Part!
We understand we have Veterans Day in the fall and Memorial Day in the spring, but our service members sacrifice their time and safety every single day of the year to preserve our freedoms. In many homes, there is an empty seat for one who is serving or one who made the ultimate sacrifice for our country. There is no better time to express our appreciation than during the hustle and bustle of the holiday season. We hope you will join us to show our veterans and their families that we will not forget. We will never forget.
Rain or Shine, we will Remember our Fallen Heroes on National Wreaths Across America Day, December 14, 2019.
8:00AM - Patriot Guard Riders and other Motorcycle Organizations will escort our Semis into the cemetery for unloading.
10AM to 10:30am - On behalf of our Committee for Wreaths Across America, we invite everyone to attend our Remembrance Ceremony at 10am on December 14th at Sarasota National Cemetery. We urge everyone to arrive early to park and be seated at Patriot Plaza. There is ample seating this year, as well as attendants on site to assist you with transportation to and from your cars.
10:40am to 11:00am - Families First - The Laying of the Wreaths will begin at 10:30 for those individuals attending who have a Family Member interred at Sarasota National Cemetery. Those individuals will be allowed to lay their loved one's Wreaths FIRST!
11:00am to 11:30am - All Volunteers will lay remaining Wreaths AND say the Veterans Names Aloud and thank them for their service.
Today, be honored and humbled...
